Ms. Pluto wrote..."Every Olympics, I watch the opening ceremonies so that I can watch how the Olympic torch will be lit. I found it interesting how China chose atheletes to carry the torch through the stadium who were responsible for creating "first" moments in the history of China. They all had accomplished major memorable moments for China. The last runner in the torch relay was strapped onto a cable and raised into the air where he simulated running- all the way around the stadium! Finally, he passed the fire from his torch to the cauldron. AMAZING!!!"

my favorite part of the opening cermonie was the drummers. I liked the drummers because there sticks glowed and there drums lit up. I also liked when the woman danced on the carpet that was held by people, the people made it move to. I liked the woman that danced on the carpet because she was so graceful.

playing drums and they lit up it was
